Real Madrid started the first week of La Liga with a convincing 4-1 win over Alaves. Benzema looks perfect, Alaba can adjust immediately.
The first jornada of the 2021/2022 Spanish League brings together Alaves vs Real Madrid. Los Blancos won the match at the Estadio Mendizorroza, Sunday (15/8/2021) early morning WIB.
Madrid's goals were scored by braces Karim Benzema, Nacho and Vinicius Jr. One consolation goal from Alaves was scored by Joselu via the penalty spot.
Reporting from Marca, Real Madrid performed brilliantly with a 4-3-3 formation. The surprise occurred with a new player, David Alaba who was plotted as a left back.
Alaba was previously believed to be a central defender to replace the position left by Sergio Ramos. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti has entrusted the anchors of the centre-back to Nacho and Eder Militao.
At the post, Karim Benzema is a center forward flanked by Eden Hazard on the left and Gareth Bale on the right. Bale wears his new jersey number, number 18.
"Hazard and Bale played a good game. Both fought hard to create space and penetrate the opponent's tight defense," said Ancelotti.
"Bale is not fully recovered but he is getting better."
Hazard was able to make two shots, while Bale with four. Both look solid with Benzema.
David Alaba's appearance has also been set with Real Madrid. Vinicus' goal in the last minute, was the result of Alaba's mature pass in front of the opponent's goal and Vinicius met with a header.
"I'm satisfied, but the players will be even better," concluded Ancelotti.
