Barcelona ready to pay half of Miralem Pjanic's salary at Juventus

The midfielder is one of the players welcome to leave Camp Nou this summer in order to reduce the economic burden on the club.

The Covid-19 pandemic has left Barcelona's economy very unbalanced, and the club is seeking to cut wages and sell several players who are not in manager Ronald Koeman's plans for next season.

One of the players is Miralem Pjanic. Moreover, he may have lost a place at Barcelona and was allowed to leave the Catalans this summer.

The 31-year-old arrived at Camp Nou at the start of last season from Italian side Juventus, having been part of a swap deal with Arthur Melo.

But now he is rumored to be returning to Turin and reuniting with Massimiliano Allegri. The news of Pjanic's departure has been discussed since the end of last season, and now his move to Juve is getting closer.

In fact, according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Blaugrana are willing to pay part of his salary to get rid of the Bosnia international.

The demand for a player salary of €8.5 million per season is indeed a major problem for the Old Lady if they want to return the midfielder to Juventus Stadium.

In the same report, if Juve do not want to make Pjanic permanent, Barca are open to releasing him on loan and paying part of his wages to make his move happen.

With Barca, Pjanic has made just 30 games in all competitions and is yet to score or assist, while during his time in Turin, the midfielder has made 178 appearances and recorded 22 goals and 41 assists.

While the former AS Roma man is rumored to be returning to Juve, another Bianconeri midfielder, Aaron Ramsey may have to leave Turin as competition in the midfield for Allegri's squad is already intense, especially with the addition of new signings - even though Pjanic is an old face.
