Inter Milan are reportedly interested in Manchester United or Manchester United winger Anthony Martial. According to British media, Inter want to sign Martial from Man Utd on a loan deal.
MU, on the other hand, only wants to sell the 25-year-old player for a fee of 50 million pounds or around Rp. 996.5 billion. However, the Red Devils could reportedly accept a 12-month loan deal on the condition of a permanent move in 2020
Inter want Martial as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who will leave for Chelsea in a deal of almost 100 million pounds. The Italian Serie A champions need a suitable replacement for the former United striker.
Lukaku has helped Inter to a first Scudetto in more than a decade. In all, he has scored 64 goals and provided 16 assists in 95 games for the Nerazzurri.
Inter and Manchester United have a good working relationship after selling Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez to the Giuseppe Meazza. Meanwhile, Inter's move could revive Martial's career, which has stalled since the arrival of Edinson Cavani.
Martial had a bad season with Manchester United in the 2020-21 season. He has only scored seven goals in all competitions due to poor form and injury problems.
Martial is likely to have limited playing time next season. Because, MU has signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken about Martial's current situation. "Anthony had a bad period with injuries," said Solskjaer, as quoted by Sportskeeda.
"He has trained well with us. But as a player who has been out for a while, they need more sharpness, need more work."
"He tries to do the right thing; it doesn't come out all the time. But it's better than what you sometimes fear when he's been injured for five months – since March."
