Jadon Sancho will soon debut with Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Sancho is available for the match against Leeds United.
Sancho was recruited by Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the transfer market this summer for £76.50 million. The England international winger is tied to a five-year contract.
After his transfer was made official in July, Sancho only joined United's training earlier this week. He had a three-week vacation after playing for the England national team at Euro 2020.
MU will start its journey in the Premier League 2021/2022 by hosting Leeds on Saturday (14/8/2021) night WIB. Jadon Sancho has the opportunity to make his debut with the Red Devils in the MU vs Leeds match at Old Trafford tonight.
"Jadon has come in and done really well this week," said Solskjaer in his pre-match press conference, as reported by the club's official website.
"Maybe it's still too soon, but I'll see how he is. He's clearly into the squad."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also explained the reason why Jadon Sancho was late to join United's pre-season.
"He's had a good week," said Solskjaer.
"Unfortunately, he was sick after the holidays and we missed a few days of training with him, but he's blended in well with the team and he's looking better than expected."
"He will be involved (in the game against Leeds), but I can't say if he will start or not," Solskjaer said of Jadon Sancho's chances of playing.
