Borussia Dortmund hope that Emre Can can return for their first Bundesliga match of the season, against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (14/8) evening local time.
Borussia Dortmund managed to win easily 3-0 in their first game of the season, DFB Pokal against Wehen Wiesbaden on Saturday (7/8), thanks to Erling Haaland's hat-trick.
But a tough test lies ahead of them, when they host Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend, when many of their players are still recovering from injury.
On Sunday (8/8) Sebastian Kehl confirmed to Kicker that Emre Can will be able to increase the intensity of his training this week, but it is still unknown whether he will be ready for the first Bundesliga game of the season against Eintracht.
"Emre Can is way ahead (in recovery) than Raphael Guerreiro," said Kehl.
